The Rivalmaker Privacy Policy describes how Rivalmaker LLC collects, uses, and shares the information that we collect from visitors to our websites.

Our Security

Security is a top priority at Rivalmaker.  Rivalmaker uses appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect our data.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the website.

Information We Collect

Why do we collect this information?

Our primary purpose in collecting information about you is to provide you with the products, services, and information that you request and Rivalmaker provides. We may also decide to use information about you to track how you use our site. In addition, we may aggregate the information that you provide with the information that other users provide in order to conduct research, analysis, or studies for our own purposes (i.e. not related to providing you with specific products or services).

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or license your personal information to anyone. This applies to both current and former customers. We do share personally identifiable information with other companies in the following situations:

  • Sharing Your Information with Subcontractors. We may share information with subcontractors that provide us with services. These services may include, among other things, helping us to provide services that you request, to develop the Rivalmaker website or software in relation to Rivalmaker, create or maintain our databases, to research and analyze the people who request products, services or information from us, and to provide statements, transaction confirmations, or check printing. 

  • Law Enforcement and Legal Process. We may disclose personal information to government and regulatory agencies to comply with a lawful summons, court order, subpoena, discovery request, fraud investigation, audit, regulatory examination or other valid court, government, or regulatory agency request.

  • Business Transition. If we or any of our assets are acquired, your information may be transferred to the acquiring company.

  • Behavioral Advertisers. We may participate in behavioral-based advertising. This means that a third party may place a cookie on your browser, or use a web beacon, to collect information about your use of our website so that they can provide advertising about products and services tailored to your interest. That advertising may appear either on our website, or on other websites.   • Our Own Marketing. Rivalmaker may share data for our own advertising purposes. This includes with third-party social networking and media websites for marketing and advertising on those websites. Rivalmaker does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information provided with third parties for their promotional purposes.

Emails

We may decide to send our users emails. If you decide that you do not want to receive commercial emails from us, you can opt out from receiving such emails by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link provided at the bottom of every commercial email. Please note that if you choose to opt out, we will still send you email relating to specific products or services that you use, including emails about negotiations, or email what we believe is pertinent to any communication that you have sent to us, or relationship that you may have with us. If you later decide that you would like to receive commercial emails from us, you can re-add yourself to our communication list.

International transfer of information collected

Because Rivalmaker is built using services available internationally, your data may be moved or stored across national boundaries. These services include Heroku, and Squarespace.

Correcting and updating your information

Customers may update or change their registration information by editing their user or organization record. You can update your information on the accounts page. For additional information not accessible from the accounts page, you can make a request to support@rivalmaker.com to access, change, or delete this information. Requests will be handled within 60 days.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

Our website and services are directed to representatives of institutions, teams, or related companies. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age or have any reasonable grounds for believing that children under the age of 13 are accessing our website or using our services. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Modification and Revision

Rivalmaker reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes or updates become effective immediately upon posting of the change. Users will be notified upon login and will be prompted to signify their agreement by clicking “I Agree”.
